This space exists between two points. A cool glow filters through translucent glass, lit from behind by an unknown source. The icy light diffuses through the backlit floor. A leopard wanders along a distant wall. Not pacing, exactly, but an indication that time continues to pass at an ever-attenuating rate.
The people here are familiar in the way that suggests they have always been here, and you have too. It’s not warm nor cold, and their attire reflects the opposition. The couches are Mylar, the walls are the color of ink, and the decor is both sleek and vivid.
near&never is the manifestation of this space.
Nupop Arca is an online and popup store where old and new share the same shelf. Archival furniture and decor sit beside current magazines, stationery, and our in-house line. We don’t sort by era. Every object, whether it was created decades ago or just this season, is considered on its own merit. What matters is not when something was made, but how it fits, feels, and resonates in the present moment. The result is a space outside of time, both familiar and hard to place.
