A warm teak cone at the bottom, its black gooseneck folding over, a black cone shade with a white lens in its mouth, and a small arm so you can aim it without a burn. Whoever built it in Taiwan had seen Milan in a magazine and gone for it. On a shelf of chrome and glass, it's the one made of wood.
